Led by The Arterie co-founder Sarah Brodie, this video workshop will exercise your creative mind, and give you a calm, relaxing contemplation of the depth, beauty, and meaning you will find in your creative art. No experience required.
There are four stand-alone classes designed to support seniors isolating due to COVID-19. These are available to everyone, and we encourage families from different households to participate, so that you may feel more connected while in isolation.
For caregivers, community agencies, retirement residences, and long-term care facilities, a facilitator’s guide is available for download with each of the sessions. This provides a unique opportunity to compliment your own therapeutic programming, as you lead your group through exploration of each video. The guide includes an introduction to each week’s topic, supplies needed, steps taken, and facilitation questions that will help you engage in a meaningful discussion with your participants.
The classes will be released online from May to July 2020. You can access them at www.willowfoundation.ca/library
This workshop was made possible by a grant received from the Burlington Foundation. The Willow Foundation is a local Halton charity supporting residents of the regionally operated long-term care facilities and members of the Adult Day Program.
